London & Glastonbury, England

A Women’s Yoga Retreat

August 30 — September 8, 2024
with Karen Score & Jeanette Fultz

CALLING ALL GODDESSES…

YOU are invited to journey with us for an exciting three days in London, followed by six revitalizing days in Glastonbury, England!

Known as the Heart Chakra of the planet, Glastonbury is where potent ley lines of the Earth intersect, and where fairy lore, dragon tales, spiritual traditions and ancient history of the Druids, King Arthur, Merlin and Joseph of Arimathea can still be felt within the vortex of energy in what’s referred to as the Isle of Avalon

Women have gathered in this sacred land for centuries to soak up the vibrations and awaken the dynamic feminine force within, reminding us to listen to that inner voice that calls us to evolve into the best version of ourselves, and empowering us to reach our fullest potential—and to do it beautifully. A woman’s vitality is reflected in her compassion, courage, gentleness and generosity, and here we can ask grace to intercede as we allow ourselves time for self-care, introspection, forgiveness, encouragement and the awakening of our spiritual and physical potential. Our bodies are sacred and hold deep wisdom and brilliant intuition… Within the safe circle of other women, we can be reminded of these powerful truths and be inspired to:

  • Feel fully alive

  • Remember your radiance and pure divine essence

  • Celebrate yourself and celebrate life

  • Dance with the mystery and your soul desires

  • Love all that you are, including the pains, pleasures, wounds, gifts, the dark and the light

  • Play for the re-discovering of magic, wonder and joy

  • Activate Shakti energy

  • Create safety and belonging in Sisterhood

  • Discover the magic, wisdom and magnificence of your feminine body

  • Experience peace, harmony and healing

  • Embody the Goddess

  • Bask in love, grace and gratitude

This small town of Glastonbury in Somerset, England has a mythical past going back into the mists of time. The spiritual energies from the many sacred sites in this small town are woven together to create a nurturing ambiance of peacefulness and joy, permeating the entire area — making this the most perfect place for women to gather on retreat!

Here you’ll find yourself amongst healers and spiritual pilgrims from all over the planet, as well as the lovely local community of residents who are fortunate to live so close to spirit.

It is our hope that you’ll join us on this journey to explore and embrace mystical sacred sites which so deeply resonate with the human heart, mind and body, and are believed by some to open a gateway to another dimension.

Our week together includes a special Welcome Dinner in London, a visit to Windsor Castle, a tour of Stonehenge and the Avebury Stones, Tintagel Castle, St. Nectan’s Glen and waterfall, Merlin’s Cave, a tour of Bath and Wells, and so much more!

You’ll have lovely, comfortable accommodations, enjoy delicious meals, share laughter with new friends, practice yoga, expand your horizons, and come back home with a renewed sense of grace and gratitude.

  • Glastonbury is a small town in Somerset, southwest England located about two hours west of London and believed to be the traditional site of King Arthur’s Isle of Avalon. It’s the reputed place of burial for King Arthur and his wife, Guinevere.

The Abbey, now in ruins, was allegedly the site of the first church in Britain, while Glastonbury Tor, rising 500 feet above the town and topped with an old medieval church tower, has a long and mysterious pagan past linked to both the legends of King Arthur and the Holy Grail.

Joseph of Arimathea, the great uncle of Jesus, supposedly brought the cup that was used by Jesus at The Last Supper and then later was the same vessel containing the blood of Christ, collected by Joseph at the crucifixion of Jesus, to Glastonbury—and with it, Christianity to England.

In ancient times, when the area of Glastonbury was under water due to a swampy inland sea called “The Sea of Glass” for much of the year, the Tor (meaning hill in Celtic) would have  appeared as an island — thus the reference to the “Isle of Avalon.”

Because the labyrinth, or form of terraced paths, leading up to the top of the hill was built by a society that worshipped a mother goddess, the Tor is seen by many today as a symbol of the  Sacred Feminine. The Tor is one of the area’s important power spots, where it’s possible to sense the strength of the spiritual energy of the area.

About a mile to the east of the Tor are two ancient oak trees, known as Gog and Magog, planted by the Druids 2,000 years ago. They are the last remaining oaks from an avenue of  trees that led up to the Tor.

The town of Glastonbury is built over important ley lines, called the Michael and Mary lines, that cross beneath it. These ley lines channel the life energies of the earth —energies recognized by dowsers and clairvoyants to be especially conducive to meditation, healing, and other spiritual practices.

Another important site in Glastonbury is the Chalice Well, a sacred artesian well that flows continuously at a flow of about 1,000 gallons per hour, unchanging year round. Its pure water has a high iron concentration and is believed to have healing qualities.  It is thought that Joseph of Arimathea buried the Holy Grail just below the Tor where a spring, now known as the Chalice Well began to flow, and that the water would bring eternal youth to all who drank it.

On the cover of the well, there is the Vesica Piscis, formed from two overlapping circles with a sword passing through them, believed to be a representation of Heaven & Earth, Spirit & Matter, Male & Female. The sword itself representing the means through which one can be present in both worlds simultaneously.

The Gardens at the Chalice Well have a mysterious, peaceful ambiance and are the perfect place for meditation and quiet reflection; and those who are sensitive may actually be able to see fairies in the gardens. They are said to appear as a circle of misty, pale light moving from flower to flower, and that it is possible to communicate with them — that they are delighted when humans are aware of them and ask for healing, guidance and blessings.

Just a short distance away, you’ll also find the Red and White Springs. The White Spring  water flows from under the Tor and the Red Spring water comes from the Chalice Well.

Another legend is that of Wearyall Hill, where Joseph of Arimathea is believed to have taken rest after traveling by boat for a long time with his 12 disciples. Because they were “weary all,” the prominent hill acquired this name.

As Joseph stood on the top of the hill, he thrust his staff into the ground where it grew into a thorn bush, now blooming each Christmas and Easter. This is the story of the Holy Thorn (or The Sacred Glastonbury Thorn).

Glastonbury has attracted spatial seekers for thousands of years, providing inspiration, healing and restoration. History, myth and legend combine in such a way here that most visitors cannot fail to feel the “vibes” and powerful atmosphere of the town.

Today, this small town of Glastonbury can easily be walked from one end to the other in about 30 minutes or so. You’ll find a mix of New Age tourists, European hippies, counterculture types, Yogis, and the local folks filling the streets with friendly activity. On the town’s High Street, you’ll find stores selling mystical objects and artifacts, metaphysical bookstores, crystal shops, vegetarian restaurants, and historic buildings — all fun to explore!

She deeply loves to hold a safe, sacred space where people not only experience the health benefits that yoga, breath work, visualization, dance and healing work have to offer, but also how to step into the fullest expression of themselves — transforming blocks and patterns that hold them back, and liberating energy for the awakening of their authentic power and purpose.

Jeanette has been teaching movement in one form or another since 1986. She continues to evolve her offerings to inspire increased self-love and joy for life. Her teaching approach is a mix of “down to earth” direction and health alignment with soulful playfulness that creates a yummy, endorphin releasing practice that’s good for both, beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

Her teaching history includes therapeutic yoga, chair yoga, fluid power yoga, Kripalu yoga, ecstatic and goddess dance, couples yoga & intimacy, sacred feminine sexuality, women’s circles and bachelorette dance parties! She also hosted a year-long deep dive course into the yogic philosophy of the Yamas and Niyamas, as well as a year of exploration of the Goddesses. Her favorite offering is leading retreats in beautiful locations around the world!

She has created a beautiful studio called “The Shakti Room” where she practices her healing body work and, soon, her VITA coaching. She loves to laugh, create, learn, dance, hike, eat good food with good friends, take long walks and connect with nature.
